Pain Explained: A Guide for Patients and Carers (Paperback)

by Richard Gamlin (Author), Tim Lovel (Author)

Synopsis

When there's a problem, what people want most of all is information. This applies especially when the problem is a medical one which is affecting either themselves or a family member.

Doctors sometimes just don't have the time to explain everything in detail and to answer every question. As a consequence, patients and their families must turn to other sources of information, such as articles, books, and the internet.

However, it is difficult, if not impossible, for the lay public to know whether the information they are getting is accurate and up to date. Hence this new book series. All the books in the 'Explained' Series are written especially for the lay public by top specialists, so the reader can be assured that he or she is getting the correct advice
